Assembly instructions are not crystal clear. You need 2 people to assemble it and took more than an hour. Comes in one box. Looks very good. Not as sturdy as I expected it to be. I have a 8 inch mattress on the bed in the attached picture. My daughter loves her new “big-girl” bed. She’s nearly 3 and is just now transitioning out of a baby bed. The bed was relatively easy to assemble and seems sturdy, even under an adult’s weight. I like that the height is low enough that she can get in and out without risk of falling far. There’s still enough space beneath for storage, if you wanted. Overall, I feel like it’s a good value. We saw similar beds in furniture stores for nearly double the price. Obviously not highly expensive wood, but it seems strong enough for use as a kids bed for several years.Fun to put together, but will still need mattress and box spring for it, be sure box spring is not high, mattress can be thin as well, this is due to how high it sits off the floor.Wood seems to be a mix between cheap (knotty) pine and decent quality plywood. Finish is a very thin layer of some kind of clear coat (lacquer?). Some of the through-holes weren't quite big enough, but my impact driver was able to power through them. If I only used the included allen wrench, I would've had problems.I don't like that the 2 middle legs on each side stick out ~3/4", and have already stubbed my toe on one.I will have to add more slats because there is about 5" spacing between the ones included, which is probably too much for all types of mattresses, much less my soft hybrid mattress. We had to contact customer service about a concern and they remained responsive as we sought an agreeable solution. The backstory: When we assembled it, unfortunately it did not fit our twin mattress, there were gaps we felt we’re too large and, not safe for our 2 year old who we’d hope would use it. It does not appear others have had this problem but I do not believe it was a wrong assembly either. The materials otherwise seemed durable. Again, Responsive customer service to work with. Thank you. This bed is “okay.” I’m honestly not sure how long it will last for my teenager...if it lasts a year, I think we will be lucky, because it’s very lightweight (and not in a good way). This bed is probably best used for very small children. It says that the weight limit is over 200 pounds, but I just don’t see that happening, and our daughter isn’t anywhere near that weight. The slats aren’t long enough, so we had to screw them in flush against one side (so that there would be some stability), and then drive the screws at an angle on the other side of the slat. If you try to center the slat, there isn’t enough overlap on the rail to even screw one end in correctly, and they definitely aren’t long enough to line the screws up with the premarked points on the rails. The large silver screws show along the edges of the headboard and footboard. Although this isn’t a huge deal, if you’re a fan of smoothly finished surfaces and hidden hardware, you’ll be disappointed.Ours arrived with brown hand and fingerprints all over it, and I am hoping was dirt...I am very dissatisfied with this product will never buy this again now it's too late to return it and I am very very dissatisfiedWhen I first got this product I was sent a defective bed. I had so many issues trying to put it together that I set it on the curb and wrote a bad review. The seller sent out a new bed free of charge.Putting together the new bed was SO much better. It's a decent, sturdy, little bed for my daughter. My advice- do not use the allen wrench sent with the product. You are going to need a drill.
