This is nice netting - the squares aren't big, loose and sloppy like some netting I've seen and it was easy to handle. It is 7' wide which was perfect for use on my two trellises that were side by side. i covered the 2 trellises from top to bottom with one piece of netting 5 1/2 ft high -to both keep my cat from slipping through the trellis and off my porch, but also to help a morning glory grow to the top of the trellis. Last year it took quite some time to get the morning glory tendrils off the trellis, but this year, I am hoping the morning glory will attach to the bird netting then in the fall, all I need to do is cut down the netting and throw it away.Another reason I like this is that most birds shouldn't get tangled in this netting should they happen to land on it as the holes are too small unless their leg slips into it. I pray that no hummingbirds get caught - which is one reason I was hesitant to put it up.The edges are finished on each side with around 4 threads per inch up each side to give it some strength. Once secured by twist ties, you can barely notice its on the trellis unless you look close - perfect.Overall - this was a good choice. I can't rate the durability as its only been up a week or two, but from what I can see, it appears to be quite durable.Mesh is 3/4” square not 1/2” as stated. With 7’ stakes is keeping the deer out of my fruit plants so far. Haven’t had it long enough to know durability but have seen similar in neighborhood gardens all summer.good net for keeping out birds and small animals. I won't stop bigger animals because it is a soft plastic net.Not going to lie, I definitely thought the very determined squirrel who has made himself at home in my garden would find a way in. I've seen him try a few times and he has not been able to! I'm really surprised that squirrels can't seem to chew through this, but it's been a few weeks and no signs of break ins.I'll update my review if this changes, but for now 100/10 for this stuff. I can finally eat the things I've been growing all season!lasted all summer and still going strong in the deep South Texas heat, we built a PVC pipe frame around our fig tree and made a cage for it with this netting, the sun here disintegrates things like this pretty fast, but we had luck with this net, it still seems to be as solid as when we first put it up, and it did indeed keep the birds and other critters from getting to the figs, we had a great haul this year thanks to this netting!main use is fruit tree coverWould probably work well around veggies or bushes. I purchased to keep ducklings from getting out of dog kennel. Works okay. Would rather it would be more stiff. This is perfect for light containment.Poor quality, very fragile snaps easily not useful for purposeused on fruit cage. little bit more flimsy than i expected but seems to do the job.
