Lost my friends bed rail in transport so a 2 x 8 and handsaw later we made a new oneAs the title states, the pins that come with the brackets don't hold up. About a week after installation, one of the pins fell out which resulted in that corner of the bed collapsing. I resorted to bolting the brackets in place. The brackets have held a queen size box spring, mattress and all 260 lbs. of me perfectly after being bolted in.This was my second set of brackets used to replace the wooden bed rails in a bed my father-in-law made in the 1940's. First brackets were the incorrect hook size. These worked perfectly in the new rails and the bed is very sturdy.Lost this to my bed & it fits perfectlyProduct exactly as the original part. Lined up perfectly as the oldpartThis worked wonderfully for a bed frame that I bought from Rooms to Go a few years back. Lost the piece and needed one in a hurry, this piece was smaller than the others on my bed but still does the job. Only thing in the screws aren’t really screws and they’re just a bit loose in the holes for the designated screws. But, it works worth the little bit of money!Did the jobI fit the plates into the existing slots and marked the plates with a marker. I will drill the the side rails for the bed and bolt it onto the slide plates. The prior owner used screws that kept stripping in the wood leaving multiple holes in the side rails.
